you to work, school, shopping or anywhere else you need to go!

HT Ride

HT Ride is a specialized transportation service for those

who cannot ride fixed route buses. HT Ride consists of two

service components: General Services and ADA (Americans

with Disabilities Act) Services. General Services HT Ride

provides shared ride transportation to medical appointments,

senior centers, social services, colleges and employment.

Howard Commuter Solutions

Howard Commuter Solutions provides free trip planning and ride

matching services to residents of Howard County. Funded by a

grant from the Maryland Transit Administration, Howard Commuter

Solutions offers a “one-stop shop” approach in assisting

commuters with transportation options. Howard Commuter

Solutions encourages county residents to use public transportation,

carpools or vanpools to travel to work instead of driving alone.

Connect-A-Ride

Connect-a-Ride provides bus service between Laurel and

Columbia (Route E) and in North Laurel (Route C), Monday through

Saturday. Stops on the E route include Savage, Owen Brown and

Kings Contrivance with free transfers to Howard Transit routes.

If you are visiting Old Ellicott City, know this before you go:

There is free and metered parking in the Historic District.

Lots A, D & F are entirely free; Lots B, C & E are metered.

Main Street and Maryland Avenue have a two-hour limit that

is strictly enforced. Meters are in operation from 10:00 a.m.

to 6:00 p.m., Monday thru Saturday. You may pay with coins,

MC, Visa or Discover at any of the meter kiosks located

throughout town; just remember your space number.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to download the free

Parker™ App to locate available parking spaces in Downtown

Ellicott City. Using sensors and GPS technology, the App

directs motorists to available parking spaces, both metered

and free. Go to
