Former site of 12 Clarion

Bells, 10 installed in 1977 in

honor of Columbia’s 10th

birthday and two more added

in 1979. Bells and tower are

currently undergoing repair

with intent to be reinstalled.

Personalized pavers can

be purchased periodically

from Columbia Association.

Dealings Sculpture

Life-sized bronze sculpture

of James Rouse, founder of

Columbia, and his brother

Willard. At Lakefront Plaza.

Whole Foods &

Haven on the Lake

White terraced building,

constructed as the

headquarters of The Rouse

Company, is an early work

of renowned architect,

Frank Gehry. To right of

Lakefront Plaza (when

facing lake). Now home to

Whole Foods and Columbia

Association’s Haven on

the Lake wellness center.

Kennedy Gardens

Dedicated in 1998 to honor

Padraic Kennedy, president

of the Columbia Association,

1972-1998. Directly across

lake when standing at

Lakefront Plaza; use footpath

to access gardens.

Lake Kittamaqundi

27-acre man-made lake. The

name Kittamaqundi is derived

from a Native American

word for “the meeting
