Established by the Ellicott

House

(1850).

Once a busy Main Street

hotel, this building now

houses apartments and

House

Early American structure

now filled with art, gifts and

Once a holding site for Civil

War prisoners, later enlarged

and called “The New Town

Museum

(1831).

The oldest railroad station in

museum featuring 19th-century

The Bridge Market

(c. 1790).

Built by the Ellicotts, it later

became Radcliffe’s Emporium

and coal yard. Used as offices

Banneker Historical Park

A national landmark site that

was the farmstead of the

original Banneker family. The

142-acre park is dedicated to

preserving the legacy of Benjamin

Banneker. 300 Oella Avenue.

Welcome Center

Originally a United States

Post Office, built in 1940, the

Welcome Center features two

WPA era murals, history of the

Patapsco River Valley, and

rotating infotainment exhibits.

Hosts Ghost Tours, Fridays and

Saturdays, April-November.
