Howard County has 30,000 acres of park-
land, 5 lakes and ponds, 70 farms and 200
miles of trails.
Patapsco Valley State Park
,
affectionately referred to as “Moab East” by
mountain biking enthusiasts, has 170 miles of
trails and more than 16,000 acres where you
can hike, fish, camp, canoe, horseback ride
and mountain bike.
Rockburn Skills Park’s
450 acres includes 7.4 miles of trails, scenic
woodlands, marshes and stream valleys, an
18-hole disc golf course, three courses for
mountain bike riders of varying skill levels,
a rock-armored climbing trail, a pump track,
picnic pavilions and more. “Fore” golfers,
Howard County has seven
golf courses
that range from putt-putt to the pros.
