Her Mind magazine and Blossoms of Hope are excited to announce the 2018 7th Annual Power of the Purse event, Monday, June 11, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at the Sub-Zero and Wolf Showroom by Fretz. Admission is $10 and tickets may be ordered online. Order tickets.

Again, this year there will be a special VIP opportunity that includes getting an early start on shopping from 3:30–4:30 p.m., free raffle tickets and premiere parking. VIP tickets may be purchased online for $45. Order VIP tickets.

This is a fun and bargain-filled evening and we hope you will join us. Last year was a record-breaking year both in attendance and support, with more than 2,000 purses collected and more than $18,000 donated to the Claudia Mayer/Tina Broccolino Cancer Resource Center. We are planning to continue to set the bar high for 2018 and already are looking forward to other special opportunities including a VIP ticket option, Maggiano’s Little Italy as our food vendor, more than 75 superb silent auction baskets with select purses and  much, much more.

More than 2,000 gently used and vintage purses will be available for cash and carry. Many amazing new purses will also be available at remarkably low prices and unbelievable designer handbags will once again be available for purchase. In addition, purses and bags — including some designer purses — will be filled with great items such as spa packages, wine, home decorator designs, hotel overnight stays, restaurant and other gift certificates and more will be up for bid in our Silent Auction.

Wine tasting will be provided by Iron Bridge Wine Company. The fabulous Brenda von Rautenkranz will be returning as our emcee to add a unique layer of fun and excitement to the event. Brenda is the owner of Fit for Life, host of the Fit to be Fabulous video series and is a Clinical Mental Health Therapist at the vR Equine Growth and Learning Center. But most of all, Brenda is full of life and is a hit at any party — especially the Power of the Purse.

Carol Weil with The Decorating Therapist and Dana O’Sullivan with DellaBlooms are back to design the venue.
